Classic Family Portraits in the Studio [Kansas City Photographer]

I so love creating timeless, classic portraits for families in my Kansas City metro-area studio. Of course outdoor portraits are wonderful and I love doing those, too, but when it comes to timeless portraits that could hang in your home for a lifetime, there's nothing like expertly-done studio portraits.

I have years of experience photographing families, and I am very knowledgeable about how to use posing to and lighting to make sure you look your best, no matter what you size or age. Family relationships are beautiful and I work hard to make sure Center Stage portraits reflect that. I also pride myself in technical excellence reflected through proper exposure, color, lighting and composition; and I work hard to offer you personal service that will make your experience with Center Stage a great one.

This family put a lot of thought into what they would be wearing, and I paired their choices with two traditional backdrops to create these classic family portraits. They were great to work with as well. Such beautiful portraits!

When was the last time you had family portraits done? What are you waiting for? Give me a call or send me an email and we will get the process started. I look forward to hearing form you!

Old Hollywood Glamour Portraits [Kansas City Photographer]

Business wizards say photographers should specialize to be most successful. But I love doing so many different types of portraits, I couldn't possibly turn my back on any of them! One thing I absolutely love to do is Old Hollywood Glamour portraits. When I was a girl growing up on a Kansas farm, I loved when my mom would take me and my twin sister to the local library, 20+ miles away. One of my favorite books was about Hollywood actresses in the 20s and 30s and I adored the perfect, glamorous portraits of them. A photographer named George Hurrell was a master of this type of portrait. I've recently been doing my own style of glamour portraits, inspired by the the ones in that book I loved when I was a girl.

I  photographed Jenna in this style - isn't she a beauty?

Outdoor Family Portraits [Kansas City Portrait Photographer]

When fall comes around, Center Stage Photography gets busy photographing families outdoors in locations throughout the Kansas City area, and beyond - but our favorite locations are in parks and on farms, about an hour before sunset. Here's just a few examples from our sessions this past fall - the weather was beautiful (and so are our clients!).
