One of the most meaningful types of session to do is portraits of extended families, because they are so precious to the family members, and because I know they will be treasured for many, many years. I feel so lucky that this beautiful family chose me for this special portrait session - they live across the country but were together because one daughter had just graduated from the
University of Kansas in
Lawrence. When I saw them all walk into my studio dressed so perfectly for portraits, I knew this would be a knockout of a session. We finished by doing outdoor family portraits at one of my favorite (and secret) locations in the
Kansas City area. If you are in Lawrence, stop by the great little boutique owned by two of the sisters (and one of my teen-aged daughter's favorite places to shop),
